NHN Dooray! Unveils 4 AI Agents; Subscription Revenue Grows 40% for 3 Consecutive Years

NHN Dooray! announced four new AI agents integrated into its collaboration platform while reporting sustained 40% annual SaaS revenue growth across public, enterprise, and financial sectors.

At a press conference held on April 28 at the NHN Pangyo office in Gyeonggi-do, NHN Dooray! CEO Baek Chang-yeol took the stage to reveal four new AI agents designed to operate autonomously within the company's collaboration platform. The event marked a shift from generative AI that merely summarizes content to agents that execute actual work tasks. This isn't just another chatbot announcement. These agents participate in messenger chat rooms with the same account status as regular users, clicking through interfaces and performing actions that previously required human hands.

The Inven Global report details the four distinct agent types unveiled during the demonstration. First, 'My Agent' functions as a personalized assistant that analyzes individual mail, calendar, wiki, and task data. It can identify must-read emails among dozens received or consolidate tasks scattered across projects to prioritize them. Drive integration is scheduled for summer deployment.

Second, 'Project Agent' operates on specific project data including tasks, wiki, and calendar information. Users can ask natural language questions like "How is the project status today?" or "List the delayed tasks" to identify urgent deadlines. The agent can also send messages directly to internal stakeholders beyond the project manager when needed. This eliminates the friction of switching between multiple applications to gather project status information.

Third, 'Extension Agent' connects to internal systems not directly linked to Dooray! using a Python-based SDK. If connected to an HR system, employees can apply for leave or search for colleagues with simple commands. This bypasses the tedious process of accessing an intranet and navigating through multiple pages (a problem that has plagued enterprise users for years, frankly).

Finally, 'Built-In Agent' is pre-trained on professional data in legal, accounting, regulation, and security fields. A DART-specialized agent can generate corporate analysis reports in PDF or HWPX format via simple commands. The agent also supports multi-agent collaboration where different agents divide roles—planner, moderator, developer—to complete complex tasks through dialogue in group chat rooms.

My Agent, Project Agent, and Extension Agent have been officially released for the enterprise sector with phased rollout to public and financial sectors. The Built-In Agent is being prepared for a June launch. This staggered deployment suggests the company is testing enterprise readiness before expanding to more regulated environments.

The subscription-based 'Dooray! AI' service integrates AI with existing collaboration features including mail, messenger, and wiki. By adopting a multi-LLM strategy encompassing ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, clients can select models based on their specific security environments and industry requirements. Since its 2024 launch, more than 20 public institutions have adopted Dooray! AI.

CEO Baek stated that AI adoption has become essential for survival, with demand for AI transformation exploding across companies and institutions. The fact that financial institutions operating under strict regulatory environments are choosing Dooray! AI demonstrates recognition of its security and innovation credentials. Woori Financial Group representative Yoon Jong-pil explained at the conference that Dooray AI integrates messenger, email, shared folders, and generative AI into a single application, enabling secure use of models like ChatGPT within their internal network.

NHN Dooray! reported that its SaaS subscription revenue has grown at an annual rate of 40% over the past three years, a trend the company expects to continue. In the public sector, the company has secured approximately 150 institutional clients. The military sector contract covering the Army, Navy, and Air Force is complete, with 40,000 personnel currently using Dooray! under the name 'Defense Eum.' This is planned to expand to 300,000 personnel.

The financial sector revenue is expected to increase seven-fold. Private companies including Hyundai Motor and Megastudy are increasing their use of Dooray AI. CEO Baek emphasized that Dooray! began as an internal collaboration project service at NHN, launching for private sector use in 2014, entering the public market in 2019, and beginning financial sector service in 2024 following its designation as an innovative financial service.

CEO Baek also mentioned potential changes to the pricing structure. Up until now, the company has used a fixed monthly subscription model, but with the launch of AI agents, they plan to switch to a usage-based pricing system. If you use the service less, you will pay less. This shift reflects the operational reality that AI agent consumption varies significantly between organizations.

CEO Baek stated there is no need to distinguish between humans and agents when collaborating. Humans will not be able to match the working speed of AI agents. In fact, humans who read and review the work performed by AI agents will become the bottleneck. Park Hyung-min, Director of the Dooray Business Division, commented that the goal is to focus on AI agents rather than generative AI to enable real customer-driven AI transformation.

The administrative business network version is currently undergoing security reviews and scheduled to launch within the second quarter. NHN Dooray has built related infrastructure in the NHN Cloud-based administrative network zone within the National Information Resources Service's Daegu Center. The company has emphasized strong security credentials including Cloud Security Assurance Program standard certification and the highest GOLD rating in CSA STAR.

Whether organizations actually adopt usage-based pricing models at scale remains the real question. The technology works, but enterprise procurement cycles move slower than AI development timelines.
